I just got an email from John Douglas, last year we did the LIbrary event with him, Rob Byer, John Barnet, Rob Hale, Jeff Rosado, Troy Whigham, and myself. He wants to expand that to an outside WWII encampment this year and wants to know if we are intersted..
Greetings George,
Hope all is well. I was hoping to start discussing the possibility of bringing you guys back to the library, possibly as a full campsite setup.
I have targeted April 28 as an ideal date for the Southwest Branch, which has a large grassy area adjacent to the building which would be perfect for this. April is the month that local students are learning about WWII, so this would be an ideal time.
Let me know what you think. Thanks.

April 28 has two events already going on: St. Augustine and the Melbourne All-Vet's Reunion. Lake Mary is the weekend after that, but May 12 is open (Mother's Day weekend) or May 19 (Armed Forces Day).

I got brakes done that weekend, and believe me, my truck really needed them! The mechanic found that I had also worn down the connections on the front stability arm from the vibration of the warped rotors. I figured there would be something wrong up front so I had that replaced, too. The whole thing, plus oil/lube/filter, came out less than a car payment, so I'm counting myself ahead of the game. She's riding sweet now, just in time for the Herndon Library event in Orlando this weekend and the Vet's event at Wickham Park in Melbourne next weekend.

Sam Howell told me about that. I think it's WW2 Allied-only, and you have to carry your stuff in, which means we'd be smart to do Marine since most of our display fits on our back or in a k-rat box.

I don't expect to make Fort Clinch...it's a bit of a drive from down here, but I expect to make Zephyrhills unless there's something doing in Stuart at the R T V museum...
