Hey everyone, You may already know this but you need to keep an eye on the antique stores in your area. I found today two full and sealed coke bottles dated 1941 and 1944. They will look great at an event for display. I even have a 1940's vintage coke bottle opener on my jeep. ha ha. This may not interest you guys much but I think it is kinda cool. especially since they are full of 70 yr old coke.

I've got a couple of full and sealed 70 year old Coke bottles as well. I also have some empty ones that I sometimes use at events. I keep them washed and clean and then bring them out to different events, fill them with Coke and, voila', I'm sitting in camp drinking Coke from a period correct bottle. The public seems to enjoy seeing that. I only use the green tinted glass bottles when I'm doing a stateside impression as that's what was used. If, however, you were overseas, you were probably drinking from a clear glass Coke bottle since that was what Coca Cola shipped overseas with their mobile bottling plants. The glass was cheaper to make, faster to make and more economical. It's all in the details. ;-)

Greig cheats and uses a decal over the cap of modern Coke bottles, but he let's us have a few from time to time.

I have found that the vintage sodas you can purchase at Cracker Barrel are good for events also. Alot of those brands are actually the same as was popular back in WWII. Just a suggestion.

That is a really cool idea, plus I love Cracker Barrel so now I have another excuse to go there.
